Welcome to the Transportation web page!

My name is Imogene Johnson but everyone calls me “Vickey”.  I am the R.E.S.P.A. Director of Transportation and glad that you have decided to visit our website.  Transportation has made some changes for the employees specifically stressing the importance of a positive work environment and remodeling the driver’s training room. 

Many good things are happening around transportation especially a new school bus driver’s special certificate that extends the time in between having to re-certify and some re-bidding changes. We recently welcomed a new Transportation manager, Bill McKinney. Mr. McKinney has brought many new and exciting ideas to our department and we look forward to working with him and seeing how these ideas positively impact our work environment.

Finally, I wanted to let you know that I would like to utilize this web page as a place to share ideas and strategies for our job. When we share solutions and ideas on the challenges of our chosen profession we all win.  Do you have a special knack for handling tricky students, parents or other adults?  A successful strategy for solving a sticky situation we all deal with, like late arriving passengers?  If you do please email me your ideas and solutions at tyronevick@sbcglobal.net.  My goal is to assure you are treated fairly, your issues are reported for help/resolution & to represent all members equally.
